Have you heard of secondary infertility? Secondary infertility is when a couple who has previously been able to conceive a healthy baby struggles with conceiving subsequent children. Secondary infertility affects about 11% of couples in the United States, and it can cause a lot of grief and pain for the families involved. Here at the Pregnancy Resource Connection, we understand how hard infertility struggles can be--whether or not you have had a healthy pregnancy in the past. Reach out to us for caring, confidential care and a listening ear by calling 970-887-3617 or stopping in during our regular business hours.

April 19th-25th is National Infertility Awareness Week. 🧡
Worldwide, as many as 1 in 6 couples will struggle to conceive--that's approximately 17.5% of the population. These statistics have led to studies on how an infertility diagnosis can affect mental health and stress levels. Jamie Hales, a licensed clinical social worker at Huntsman Mental Health Institute has remarked: "The stress level for infertility is comparable to the stress level of being diagnosed with cancer." 🧡
Here at the PRC, we understand how the grief of infertility can affect families trying to conceive. If you ever need a gentle listening ear during your journey through infertility, fertility treatments, or reproductive loss, we are more than willing to engage with you and your story.
Stop in, or call us at (970) 887-3617 for free, confidential support. 🧡

April is Cesarean Awareness Month. Did you know that there is an option for having a more "natural" experience while having a C-section? A "Gentle Cesarean" is a series of choices parents can make to help them feel more peaceful and empowered during their C-section birth. Asking for a clear or lowered drape to watch the birth, requesting the hospital staff explain what is happening during the surgery, and prioritizing skin-to-skin contact after the birth are just a few ways parents can help their cesarean feel more personal.
Please read this article if you are curious about Gentle Cesareans and how they can be different than a standard C-section delivery: https://www.mamanatural.com/gentle-cesarean/
