April 19th-25th is National Infertility Awareness Week. 🧡

These statistics have led to studies on how an infertility diagnosis can affect mental health and stress levels. April is Cesarean Awareness Month. Did you know that there is an option for having a more "natural" experience while having a C-section? A "Gentle Cesarean" is a series of choices parents can make to help them feel more peaceful and empowered during their C-section birth. Asking for a clear or lowered drape to watch the birth, requesting the hospital staff explain what is happening during the surgery, and prioritizing skin-to-skin contact after the birth are just a few ways parents can help their cesarean feel more personal.
