Seven years ago we introduced the Middle Park Health name to better our healthcare system recognition. With continuous growth over the last 15 years, we continue to carry the name Middle Park Health across Grand and Jackson counties.

Please join us in welcoming our new General Surgeon at Middle Park Health, Dr. Matthew Fabian!

Dr. Matt Fabian is a Board-Certified General Surgeon who relocated to the mountains of Colorado from Iowa. He was drawn to Grand County and Middle Park Health because of our close-knit community and is excited to contribute to our mission and vision to keeping life grand. He's most looking forward to providing high-quality surgical care as part of the MPH team and values the importance of connecting with people, especially his patients.

In his previous communities he's served in various leadership roles within surgery and within the community. He helped grow a family business and has worked alongside strong clinical teams in both urban and rural hospitals.

Outside of the surgical suite, Dr. Fabian enjoys being outside, whether skiing or biking, or just recharging in the sun.

A big thank you to our West Grand Football Team for volunteering to move a lot of dirt at the Wellness Center last week! Their efforts helped our maintenance staff with a very time consuming task that will now allow our team to start the next phase of the gym remodel.

We can't express enough gratitude for the community coming together to help move this project along. Thank you!

Help us celebrate our July Employee of the Month, Becky!

Becky has gone above and beyond in her role at Middle Park Health's new Fraser Campus, pouring her heart and soul into the successful opening of the facility. Her dedication, tireless work ethic, and unwavering commitment were instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Becky’s natural leadership, calm under pressure focus, and ability to inspire those around her have made a lasting impact on so many of her teammates. Thanks to her efforts, Fraser is already a shining example of excellence and patient-centered care.

This last weekend Middle Park Health purchased a steer and hog from the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo Junior Livestock Show. And we want to extend a big thank you and congratulations to Olivia Bruchez who raised the steer and Rayne Pryor who raised the hog.

And also a big thank you to our CFO Ray Moss who attended and bid on behalf of MPH. Ray has his own connections to 4H and raised animals to help pay for his first car and college education while growing up in rural Oklahoma. He said it was a wonderful experience being on the other side of the sale and getting to support local youth.

These animals plan to be served at Middle Park Medical Foundation's Second Annual Country BASH on October 4th. Tickets go on sale September 1st!

We at Middle Park Health know it's been a challenging few weeks for our Grand County community. Even if you have not been directly impacted by recent events, it can still be difficult to process. These feelings and thoughts can be difficult to shake at times causing loss of sleep, irritability with those we care about, losing focus, and causing depression and anxiety. Although all of these symptoms are expected with emotionally trying times, it can be very beneficial to have additional support from trained professionals to help normalize these thoughts and feelings.

We have Behavioral Health Navigators, Jessica Reed and Andy Thomasson who are willing to meet with anyone from our community to help process these feelings. Meeting with Jess or Andy is free of charge, completely confidential, and they are able to meet with patients for 4-6 sessions. To set up a time with Jess or Andy please call 970.887.5886.

Additionally, there is a Grief Share group that is starting this Sunday in Granby at Lord of the Valley Lutheran Church (next to City Market). Grief Share is a free group that lasts 13 weeks and although you do not need to attend all 13 weeks, you would benefit the most from attending as many groups as you can.

As a general reminder in times of additional stress it's always good to get plenty of exercise, good sleep, and share feelings with friends or family.

This morning Middle Park Health completed its first 3D Mammography Exam with our new Hologic Selenia Dimensions Mammography System!

A big thank you to Chris Murphy for being our first patient and Jess Wilson, Director of Imaging, and her team, for getting the system up and running. We'd also like to thank Middle Park Medical Foundation for committing funds towards this new equipment.

We are thrilled to have this state-of-the-art technology at MPH - Granby to further quality care right here in Grand County.
