Sandra Aline Simmons, born February 26, 1949, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2026. A lifelong resident of Bayou La Batre, Alabama, Sandra was known for her deep love of family, her kind heart, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
Sandra found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Above all, she loved her husband, Johnny, with all her heart, and their bond was a true example of lasting love and commitment. They were married for 53 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Bosarge; her mother, Doris Aline Bosarge; and her brother, John Wayne Bosarge.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Simmons; her children, Tesse Necaise (Henry), Shannon O’Saile (AJ), Johnny Simmons (Julie), and Kristy Simmons (Nikki); her siblings, Pam Sprinkle, Ann Collier (Jerry), Ricky Bosarge (Sharon), and sister-in-law Shirley.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Henry and Logan Necaise; Brandon and Dustin O’Saile; Amber and Haley Simmons; and Morgan, Dillan, and Landan Gazzier; along with 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held Saturday April 11th from 10am-2pm followed by the funeral at 2pm at San Souci Baptist Church located at 9299 Cain Street Coden, Al 36523. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery.

Sandra’s love, warmth, and faith will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by all who knew her.
