Angela Avalos, PT, MPT graduated as a Physical Therapist from the University of North Dakota in 2002. She has specialized in Pelvic Floor Health since 2004. Angela treats prenatal conditions, postnatal conditions, birth preparation education, postnatal rehabilitation for both vaginal or cesarean section deliveries, urinary and bowel conditions, pelvic organ prolapse conditions, pelvic and abdominal pain conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation/healing after surgical interventions such as hysterectomy, prolapse repair, and abdominal surgeries. Angela treats pelvic floor changes/challenges and musculoskeletal changes with perimenopause, menopause, and post menopause phases of life. She is trained in pelvic floor specialized dry needling. Angela treats pelvic floor conditions for both female and male clients.
Throughout her career, she has co-developed pelvic health programs/pelvic floor educational programs within the Grand Forks Health System, the postnatal perineal ultrasound program, and prenatal/postnatal community education classes, including, Mommy Care Basics and Backs, Bellies, and Bottoms.
Angela developed and continues to instruct the Pelvic Floor Health elective class for the graduate Physical Therapy students at UND as a community adjunct instructor.

She also specializes in headache treatment, cervical/thoracic/low back pain, SI joint pain, and general orthopedic conditions.

In her spare time, Angela loves to spend time with her husband, five children, and their dog. She enjoys supporting her children at their extracurricular events, exercising, reading, and brightening other’s days.

Angela has a passion to serve her patients and assist them in reaching their desired goals.
