Self-help books can be inspiring and offer useful ideas to improve your life. They’re great for motivation, new perspectives, and simple strategies you can try on your own.

However, they can also feel overwhelming, too general, or miss the deeper, personal work needed to create lasting change. Everyone’s journey is unique, and what works for one person might not work for another.

That’s where therapy comes in—a safe, supportive space tailored just for you. A therapist can help you explore your story, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop tools that truly fit your life.

Not everyone is cheering for you.
Accept that.

Those who consistently doubt or “hate on you” usually do so because they envy you and it drives them insane. Your success is a threat to them.

You’re a threat because your success highlights all of their insecurities, failed dreams, and inner truths that they will end up with nothing but, “woulda, coulda, and shouldas,” at the end.

During which, they had a front row seat to you doing the opposite and finding happiness.

Pay them no mind. Their inner turmoil is for them to heal, and most won’t. It’s too hard for them to do so and simply easier to focus on you.

Don’t compete with other people, compete with who you were yesterday and compete with your own potential. Compete with what you are capable of.

The haters take care of themselves, each night when they lay awake lamenting their failures and personal insecurities.

If you had a magic wand, what's one thing you would change?

While a magic wand would be nice, true healing and lasting change take time. Often, we’ve spent years building patterns of negative thoughts and behaviors—those don’t disappear overnight.
Therapy helps you gently unravel those patterns and build healthier ways of thinking and living, step by step. Real change is a process, and it’s worth the time.
