🎀 Thank you - Northern Red River Valley Doll Club for the donation of dolls to the residents of the Hearthstone neighborhood at Woodside Village! 🌸 These beautiful dolls are already loved and are tools for connection, comfort, and joy, especially in memory care.
The members of the local Doll Club are passionate about their collections, and it’s truly inspiring to see how their shared love of dolls is now brightening the days of residents at Hearthstone.
For many with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, dolls can provide comfort, calm anxiety, and even promote cognitive engagement. For others, they offer an opportunity to nurture and care for something, which can bring a sense of purpose and connection. The simple act of holding a doll or talking about one can trigger a sense of familiarity, sparking conversations that might have otherwise been hard to start.
We are so grateful for the generosity of the Northern Red River Valley Doll Club and the smiles their thoughtful donations are sure to bring to the residents of Hearthstone.
