April is National Volunteer Month, the perfect time to celebrate and congratulate Landyn Adams on being named Junior Volunteer of the Year by the North Dakota Long Term Care Association! 💚
Landyn has a special gift for connection, especially in memory care on the Hearthstone neighborhood. Having spent time in the Hearthstone neighborhood since he was just a baby, coming to work with his grandma Lisa, he has grown up alongside many of the residents, forming bonds that are incredibly rare and deeply meaningful. Even when words are not possible, the smiles, laughter, and hugs he gives and receives say everything about the comfort and happiness he brings.
One of Landyn’s greatest talents is his creativity. Through art, he not only teaches drawing step by step to the residents. He takes the time to ensure everyone feels included, never rushing, always encouraging. His personalized drawings of grandchildren, pets, and cherished memories have become treasured keepsakes proudly displayed in residents’ rooms.
Beyond art, Landyn is always ready to jump in, whether it is helping with bingo, outings, holiday celebrations, patio events, or simply spending time visiting. On days off from school, this is where he chooses to be. That speaks volumes about his character and the love he has for this community.
Landyn, thank you for the joy, kindness, and connection you bring to so many. We are incredibly proud of you and so grateful to have you as part of our community. Congratulations on this well deserved honor 🌟
