🎉 We wrapped up an incredible week of fun, laughter, and community as we celebrated National Assisted Living Week! 🎉
Our final days were full of spirit and smiles — from a colorful Mismatched Attire Day to our exciting Game Day celebration!
🏆 The highlight? Our Quarterly Co****le Tournament! The competition was fierce, but victory belonged to Andy and Rachael – congratulations to our champions! 🥇
🎉 Root beer floats were flowing, pom poms were waving, and the crowd brought all the cheer!
A big thank you to everyone who dressed up, played, cheered, and made this week so special. We love celebrating life together every day, but this week was extra sweet.

🤠 Day 3 of National Assisted Living Week: Wild West Adventures! 🌵🎶
Today we saddled up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time as we celebrated “Ageless Adventure” with a Wild West-themed day! Residents and staff dressed in their Western best.
🍔🌭 We kicked things off with a BBQ grill-out, serving up fresh-off-the-grill hamburgers and brats.
🔥 After lunch, we gathered around for a campfire-style s’mores roast. The afternoon was made extra special with live campfire music by our talented music therapist, Lindsay, and Chaplain Bud—what a duo!

🌟 Happy EVS Week! 🌟

This week, we’re taking a moment to give a HUGE shoutout and an even bigger thank you to the incredible Environmental Services (EVS) team at Valley Senior Living on 42nd! 💙

From keeping resident rooms and assisted living apartments squeaky clean, to polishing our common areas and making sure every office is spotless, this team does it ALL with heart. 🧼✨

🗑️ They remove pounds of trash every week
🧺 Our laundry department runs 7 days a week, doing over 120 loads
🛏️ They clean 138 rooms at least 5 days a week
🏠 Maintain 59 assisted living apartments
🚶‍♀️ And they’re on the move—clocking in between 10,000 and 18,000 steps every single day!

These care partners are a huge part of what makes Valley on 42nd feel like home. We couldn’t do it without you. 💪

We continued our Ageless Adventure celebration yesterday with the exciting theme: Time Travel! ⏳✨
Residents and staff embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up in styles from their favorite decades. Everyone enjoyed a lively few rounds of “Decades Bingo bash,” where memories were shared, and prizes were won!
🎶 And to top off the day, the fabulous 60s Chicks rocked the house with an evening performance full of nostalgia and fun!

🇺🇸🚗 National Assisted Living Week: Day 1 - Great American Road Trip! 🚗🇺🇸
We kicked off National Assisted Living Week with a nostalgic journey across the highways of yesteryear — our theme for today was the Great American Road Trip, and it was a hit! 🎉
Residents enjoyed a visit from some beautiful classic cars right in our parking lot, bringing back memories and sparking great conversations. We served up funnel fries and fresh lemonade to keep the road trip vibes going strong. 🍋🍟
This year’s theme is "Ageless Adventure," and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned all week as we celebrate the spirit, stories, and adventures that make our community so special! ❤️

🌟 This week, the Wheatland Terrace Community Culture Group rolled up their sleeves and showed up with heart at Northlands Rescue Mission. We served lunch to those in need and packaged over 50 to-go meals for folks who couldn’t join us in person.

Lending a hand and connecting with our community in meaningful and fulfilling in many ways. Every smile, every “thank you,” reminds us why we do what we do 💛
