Please see below for details about an Indigenous telehealth survey! Please forward to anyone you think may be interested in participating!
Hello, my name is Elleh Driscoll, and I am from the Meskwaki Nation in Iowa. I am a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program & INSPSYDE program at the University of North Dakota. Being a graduate student includes doing a Masterβs thesis, and I am reaching out to ask for participants for my research. I am reaching out today to invite you to participate in this anonymous survey, as your perspective is welcomed and valued.
Eligibility for participation includes current mental or behavioral health clinicians, those over the age of 18, those who live and work in the United States, and past or current experience with North American Indigenous clients. Anyone who does not meet these requirements will not be eligible to participate.
The goal of this research is to gather vital information of barriers faced during and after the pandemic for clinicians providing tele-mental health, and to tell a story of resilience for North American Indigenous communities who may have created significant innovations to provide accessible care for community members in need of mental health treatment. With the data collected, I hope to capture the current picture of tele-mental health use in North American Indigenous communities and predict the future willingness of clinicians providing tele-mental health to better inform future Indigenous psychologists and training programs.
If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to take an anonymous online survey with questions related to past and current experiences with tele-mental health.
There is an additional anonymous link at the end of the survey for the chance to win a gift card!
Data collection is set to wrap up soon, so thank you for your time!
If you have any questions, please email me at elleh.driscoll@und.edu!
