Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, we recognize and celebrate the incredible diversity within the autistic community.
At The Shoreline Center, we are honored to support individuals and families at every stage of their journey. We are committed to being a space where communication is respected in all its forms and every individual is valued for who they are.
Awareness is important—but acceptance, understanding, and support are what truly make a difference. We stand alongside our clients and families as partners and advocates.

We're excited to share an exciting update from our team.
Below is a letter from the Radley's, sharing more about this next chapter and what it means for our team. Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to all that's ahead!

Hello Everyone~
Twelve years ago we were formulating plans for how to bring more services to the lakeshore to support our son and his friends. Twelve years ago Jack was five years old and I was so afraid I would never be able to reach him and provide him with the support he needed.
Ten years ago, we took a risk. We teamed up with experts in the area and opened the doors to The Shoreline Center, renting space on Robbins Road. We had five employees, and not many more kids coming in for ABA Therapy. Speech and OT services were just an idea for the future.
Today, The Shoreline Center has been in business for more than ten years providing ABA, Speech and OT services. Currently we sit at over 100 kids in treatment, serving these kids both in-center and in-home. Several years ago, we moved our operations to a custom-built center situated on a private road, which we proudly named Ability Way. The facility is equipped with a full, state-of-the-art kitchen and a fenced-in playground. Jack is seventeen years old now and is participating in many community activities through Special Olympics, Unified Sports, No More Sidelines, and Regatta. This spring he will also join the GHHS Track Team!
The road to get here was filled with hurdles and speed bumps, but the results outweigh all of the challenges. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to lead this journey and all the amazing people I have met along the way. The progress Jack has made from all the people, services and support from The Shoreline Center has truly been the greatest gift.
The time has come for me to pass the torch and take on a smaller role within the company. I plan to stay involved in a consulting role as well as helping to support community outreach. On March 20th, we will be transferring ownership to Dan Reckling and his wife, Brandy. This transition has been in the making for quite some time in order for it to have minimal impact on business operations. Dan has been our Clinical Director for over 4 years, and has taken on many different tasks while proving to be well versed in not only clinical oversight, but in business operations as well. I am confident that under Dan’s leadership, The Shoreline Center will continue to provide high quality services in support of our families and community for many years to come on Ability Way.
Thank you for the opportunity to lead this team, as it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
A few words from Dan and Brandy as they are excited to get started in this new chapter:
Just over four years ago, we moved here from the Detroit area after Dan accepted the position of Clinical Director at The Shoreline Center. We have always loved the West side of the state—dating back to our college years—and hoped that one day we would have the opportunity to call it home.
We currently live in Allendale with our two dogs. Brandy graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. She currently works at a chiropractic office in Jenison, where she oversees front desk operations. She is excited to learn more about how The Shoreline Center operates and looks forward to helping wherever she is needed.
We’re excited to introduce ourselves as the new leadership team here at The Shoreline Center, and we want to start by saying how grateful we are to each of you for trusting us with your family’s needs. We know transitions can feel overwhelming, so we want to reassure you that services will remain the same and the heart of what makes this place special isn’t changing. Our goal is to continue to support you and many more families to come.
Sincerely,
Dan and Katie Radley
