Love in Action is hosting a Free Men's Health Event offering physicals, skin checks, and blood work at no cost. It’s tailored to men's needs and aimed at helping them stay healthy for all they are called to do. Please share and help us spread the word!

Meet Sheila, RN! 🩺 Beyond her skilled care, Sheila is a true connector. She recently suggested adding the LIA QR code flyers to our exam rooms so patients can easily scan for the resources they need. Thank you, Keon Rick, DDS! Dr. Rick is one of our newest dental volunteers and part of a well-known family of dentists who serve and are loved by many in this area. Most days, Keon is at Hackley Community Care faithfully providing dental care and education to his patients. We are blessed to have him generously give and be a part of our team! Big news for the hearts of our community! ❤️

Our medical team officially powered up some new technology this month, thanks to a generous grant from the Michigan State Medical Society Foundation. The Free Health & Dental Center's aging ECG machine has made way for a brand-new, reliable model—which means better visualization of what is happening with the heart for patients with cardiac risks.

A special thank you to Mackenzie (our pre-med volunteer) for her wonderful attitude and for being our very first "patient"! Our clinical team—(L to R) Marivell (MA student), Shelley (Medical Manager), and Virginia (NP)—had a great time getting acquainted with the new equipment and successfully completing its first reading.

When we put great tools into the hands of a compassionate, skilled staff, it means we can care for them better.

Chad Cunningham and Michelle VanDyke, of Patterson Dental, visited the LIA Free Health & Dental Center for a photo op as we received a $10,000 grant this year from the Patterson Dental Foundation toward the operational costs for providing dental services! We are so thankful Patterson Dental, who goes beyond selling dental supplies to directly supporting community initiatives such as this one. It makes a difference in the lives of our community!
