Bunion Pain? Modern Surgery May Mean Faster Recovery

Bunions are a common cause of foot pain and difficulty with shoes. They develop when the big toe gradually shifts toward the second toe, creating a painful bump at the joint.
Early treatment can often help relieve symptoms and slow progression. Our office provides:
• Custom orthotics to improve foot mechanics and reduce pressure on the bunion
• Shoe recommendations with wider toe boxes and better support
• Other conservative treatments to help manage discomfort
However, when bunions continue to worsen or interfere with daily activities, surgical correction may be the best long-term solution.
Our practice offers Minimally Invasive Bunion Surgery (MIS) — an advanced technique performed through very small incisions. Compared with traditional bunion surgery, MIS may offer:
• Smaller incisions
• Less soft tissue disruption
• Faster recovery for many patients
• Excellent correction with improved cosmetic results
Many patients are surprised to learn that modern bunion surgery is very different than it was years ago.
Many patients live with bunion pain for years before realizing that minimally invasive surgery can correct the problem with smaller incisions and faster recovery than traditional procedures. If your bunion is getting larger or more painful, scheduling an evaluation early can help you explore all available options.
Call our office to schedule a bunion evaluation.
