❤️My sister is one of those people that is willing to put others first. It may not be something she likes or wants to do, but she will do it. That’s why she is so good at her job; she is comfortable putting herself second. She is also someone that is very supportive and pushes you to do big things in life. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am. Thank you and congratulations on this great accomplishment. - Kaden
🧡As soon as Riley made the decision to become an RN she began working diligently toward her goals - through the Medical Pathway at Grand Island Senior High, through college and her clinicals at GIRMC and her work at GIRMC as a Student Nurse Technician, to her employment there as an RN. She is passionate about her patients and their families and is a strong advocate for GIRMC.
Riley Rae has been a ray of sunshine in our lives since the day she was born. She is obviously now sharing that happiness, hope, and positivity in her place of work.
We love you, Riley Rae ~ Grandpa & Grandma
💛I am so proud of Riley for being nominated for the Employee Spotlight! I have watched her strive to learn every day to be the best nurse she can be and to be the calming, passionate person that families deserve in their times of joy and in times of need. Her care and compassion for her patients, job, and coworkers is evident in each conversation. Riley gives it her all and is willing to help coworkers and the department in any way that she can. I love you Riley! - Mom
💚Riley has always been a caretaker, especially for little ones! From the time our Kyler was born, she wanted to be with him and helping with him. She knows how to read babies and nurtures them! We are so proud of her and can only imagine how amazing she is with the most fragile infants! - Natalie
💙Congratulations, Riley! Being chosen as Outstanding Team Member is such a well-deserved honor. Your skill, compassion, and calm presence make an incredible difference for the babies you care for and the families who depend on you during their hardest moments. The NICU is a better place because of you, and we’re so proud of the nurse and person you’ve become. - Brandon
🩵I have always been proud of Riley, but I think I am most proud of her story to this point of her career. It is a story of perseverance. She decided she wanted to start nursing directly out of high school. So, she had to take both her senior level high school classes as well as the prerequisite college level courses her final year of high school. While most of her classmates were going to school half of the time, she had a full schedule. As a parent, I then found out that Nursing School is no walk in the park. I watched her put more work into school than she had ever done before. She overcame obstacles and came out the other side a better person. She was 19 years old when she started working full time as an RN. There many challenges to that as well. I find it very fitting that at this point of her career, she is helping babies persevere through the struggles that they face starting their journeys. I’m proud of you Riley. Keep working hard! - Dad
💜Congrats Riley! You have worked so hard and it really shows! Great job super proud of you and what you do! Thanks for always supporting me in nursing too! You’re such a great role model in my nursing journey! -Austen
🩷Riley consistently shows that she cares about what she does. Whether that be picking up an extra shift when needed, switching to a different shift, or helping other departments. I’m glad Riley gets some recognition so she knows that other people see the value she adds to the hospital. - Aidan
🩶 Riley is an incredible asset to our NICU team. She consistently shows compassion, patience, and dedication to our tiniest patients and their families. Her positive attitude and willingness to step in wherever needed make such a difference every shift. It has been wonderful to watch her grow and become the nurse she is today! Congratulations Riley! - Maria
