What a fun and absolutely perfect day celebrating our Spirit of Adventure Awards** here at Bickford during National Assisted Living Week!

Each of our residents walked the red carpet and received a beautiful adventure award, honoring their unique stories, adventurous spirits, and the joy they bring into our home every day.

From heartfelt, tear-jerking moments to plenty of laughs, it was a ceremony to remember. After the awards, we toasted with cocktails, enjoyed tasty snacks, and even hit the dance floor, because every adventure deserves a celebration!

It was a day full of smiles, memories, and love. Truly, the best adventures are shared together.

✨ National Assisted Living Week – Friendship Adventure Day✨

“New adventures often begin with a friend.”

Today was filled with both friendship and remembrance. We were honored to welcome our local firefighters, who brought their firetruck for our residents to see up close. Together, we held a sign that read “We Remember. We Honor. We Thank You.” as we paused to reflect on 9/11 and the bravery of those who serve. 🇺🇸

Our afternoon was brightened with live music, laughter, and sweet treats from 308 treats truck we enjoyed root beer floats, shaved ice, and refreshing drinks that we were able to share with our firefighters as a small token of our gratitude.

It was a day of music, memories, and meaningful connections, a true reminder that friendship and community are some of life’s greatest adventures.

Today, we remember.
On this solemn anniversary of 9/11, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who rose, and the resilience of a nation forever changed.

In senior living, we are privileged to care for many who lived through that day—who remember where they were, who they called, and how they came together in the aftermath. Their stories remind us of the strength found in community, compassion, and courage.

As we reflect, we recommit to serving with empathy and purpose—ensuring every resident feels safe, valued, and supported, just as we all did in the days that followed September 11th.

We will never forget.

🐒Today our Ageless Adventure took us on a Safari Adventure right in our own backyard at our local Pete’s Safari Zoo! 🐪

From camel, ostriches to monkeys, our residents explored it all, no passport needed to discover the wild wonders of the animal kingdom.

Safari binoculars on, smiles wide, and cameras ready, we made memories worth “monkeying” around about! 

What an unforgettable way to celebrate National Assisted Living Week with a little adventure, laughter, and wildlife magic.

Residents enjoyed old-fashioned candy, great conversation, and the sweet sounds of live music that had us up and dancing!
It truly felt like sitting around the living room with friends, sharing stories that make us who we are.

🌍✈️ Explorer Adventure Day ✈️🌍
Adventure is out there… and it started today! 🧭 Our residents kicked off National Assisted Living Week - Ageless Adventure by dining out at the classic Runza, then heading to the National Guard Airport, for an incredible tour, with Major Linehaman and Thank you for your service. 🚁✈️
From exploring helicopters to learning fun aviation facts, our residents even got their own passports stamped to mark the beginning of this exciting week of adventures.
The journey has just begun, and we’re ready to see where the next adventure takes us!
