❤️ Diabetes is complicated — learning to manage it doesn’t have to be. ❤️
At Grand Island Clinic, we offer Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) classes in a supportive group setting, designed to help you feel confident managing diabetes in your everyday life — no matter where you are in your journey or what type of diabetes you have.
Our ADA-recognized education program, led by Ashley Freeman, RD, LMNT, helps you build real-world skills and confidence. In these classes, you’ll learn how to:
✔️ Eat balanced meals
✔️ Exercise safely
✔️ Monitor blood sugar levels
✔️ Take medications or injectables correctly
✔️ Reduce risks and prevent complications
✔️ Cope with the emotional side of diabetes
✔️ Problem-solve and adjust as life changes
You’ll work with our diabetes educator to create a personalized plan while learning the 7 key self-care behaviors that support long-term health.
✨ DSMES can help improve blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of complications,
and may even help lower weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol.
📅 Group classes begin this spring — now enrolling!
