Hello, my name is Lisa Trunzo, P.T. I am the owner and clinician of Island BodyWorks Physical Therapy and I invite you to come experience personalized, quality care in a calming atmosphere. As a Grand Island resident and physical therapist of 25 years, my mission is simple: To restore quality of life with quality of care. I possess extensive experience in orthopaedics (back, neck, joints, etc.) and specialize in women’s pelvic health. If you have been putting it off…now is the time. I look forward to helping you restore your health! Angela Bucella, P.T./DPT
Hello, I’m Angela Bucella, PT, DPT, and I’m excited to join the Grand Island Bodyworks team. I live in the city of Buffalo, but I’ve worked in physical therapy on Grand Island for years; first as a PTA, and now as a PT! I graduated from Niagara County Community College in 2010 with an Associate degree in Applied Sciences from the physical therapist assistant program. After working for three years as a PTA, I returned to college in pursuit of becoming a physical therapist. After the six year program, I graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2019, receiving a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I have a background in orthopedic and geriatric care, and to further my development, I have begun the process of becoming certified in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, so far completing Part A for the lumbar spine. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Lynn Nelson, P.T.A. Hello, my name is Lynn Nelson. I am returning to the PT world after taking a hiatus to raise my children. I enjoy helping patients learn about their body and ways in which they can help themselves to feel better. In addition to working in the clinic, I also lead our manual stretch program, Stretch It Out. This unique manual stretching program gives eligible patients 30 minutes of one-on-one stretching in a private and relaxing setting. Meagan Swartz, P.T.A. Hello, my name is Meagan Swartz. I'm so excited to join the Grand Island Bodyworks team. I have worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting since I graduated from NCCC's PTA program in 2017. More recently, I became a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This unique background allows me to take a holistic approach to treating my patients. I enjoy educating patients and helping them feel better through exercise and manual therapy. I look forward to working with you!
