‼️Schedule Update for Eat to Fuel: Muscle, Metabolism, & Blood Sugar Workshop

Due to Race for Grace on April 11—and several of you reaching out about the overlap—we’re moving the workshop to make sure you don’t have to choose!

‼️New Workshop Time:
Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 PM

This will be an in-person, open Q&A style session, so you can ask questions, get clarity, and walk away knowing exactly how to apply it to your own routine. We will still Zoom & record the session for those who cannot make it in person.

If you’re already signed up—you’re all set.

📌Here are some answers to FAQ, so far:

-Do I need to track food?
No—but we’ll cover how it can be helpful. Things like identifying what may have caused a blood sugar spike or understanding your baseline needs (BMR and daily intake). From there, you can decide if tracking more closely is a tool you want to use.

-Will I actually be guided during the 2 weeks, or am I on my own?
You won’t be left guessing. You’ll learn how to interpret what you’re seeing and how to make adjustments along the way.

-Is this only for people trying to lose weight?
No. This is for anyone looking to improve energy, performance, and overall understanding of their nutrition.

-What if I’ve already tracked macros before?
This goes beyond tracking. It’s about understanding your body’s response and using that information with intention.

-Will this be overwhelming?
No. This is designed to simplify—focusing on what actually matters and removing the noise.

-Do I need prior nutrition knowledge?
No. You’ll be guided through in a way that builds clarity, not confusion.

Registration is now open for a highly anticipated series we have been building!

🗓️ APRIL 12
🕐 2:00-3:00 PM

This workshop is designed to simplify what actually matters when it comes to metabolism, muscle, and blood sugar—especially in midlife.

If you’ve been eating less, training more, and still not seeing the results you expect, this is your opportunity to understand why and what to do differently.

This is a workshop plus a 2-week guided experience where you’ll learn how your body responds to how you eat, train, sleep, and manage stress.

Inside, we’ll break down metabolism, muscle, and nutrition in a way that actually makes sense—without extremes or restriction. Our friends at Elevate Comprehensive Health Center are providing continuous glucose monitors (CGM) to see real-time feedback and better understand your own patterns.

What’s included:
• 1 In-person educational workshop before you begin (Zoom will be available if you can’t make in-person)
• Access to an open chat group to ask questions/discuss throughout 2-weeks
• A Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) (while supplies last)

Pricing:
$129 non-members
$99 House of Movement members

This is not a diet.
It’s not a reset.
It’s a better understanding of your body.

Low back feeling stiff? This quick flow works through the three movements your spine is built for: flexion, extension, and rotation.

Instead of aggressively stretching the low back or relying on tiger balm, we’re restoring movement through the vertebra and the tissues that support it.

In this sequence we’re working on:
• Segmental spinal movement with banded cat–cows
• Posterior nerve glides to mobilize the back line
• Gentle lumbar rotation
• 360 diaphragmatic breathing to support the deep core
• Low back decompression to open the back body

Often when the low back feels “tight,” it’s not just about stretching, but about giving the spine better movement options and better breathing mechanics.

Save this flow for the next time your back feels stiff.

Are these mini-series helpful?

The SI joint often gets blamed for being “out of place.”

But the sacroiliac joint actually moves very little. It’s an inherently stable structure designed to transfer force between the spine and the lower body. There is one located on the right and left side of the sacrum, in conjunction with the right or left ilium of the pelvis.

When people feel discomfort in this area, movement patterns and load management can play a role.

Hip stability.
Glute strength.
Pelvic control.
Foot connection.

These all influence how force moves through the pelvis. When the system isn’t sharing load well, the SI region can end up taking more stress than it should.

Training can help by improving hip strength, pelvic stability, and movement mechanics so forces move more efficiently through the body.

Of course, pain can have many causes, so persistent symptoms should always be evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional.

A stronger core starts with better organization! What does that even mean? This is such a common disconnect that we decided to make a whole class around it — “Centered”.

Most of us live in shallow breathing patterns.
The ribs lift instead of expand.
Pelvis tilting when it shouldn’t.
Low back taking over.

So we slow it down.
We separate hip movement from spinal movement.
We teach the core to manage pressure instead of just sucking in or bracing harder.
We restore breathing mechanics so the ribs can expand without flaring.
We build stability before we load it.
Because this isn’t just about doing dead bugs “better.”

This IS the pillar.
When you organize the system here:
your lifts improve.
Your yoga improves.
Your posture improves.
Your everyday movement feels different.

This is the missing link for most people.
We train the system, not just a muscle.
