One of the greatest benefits of massage for mental health is the ability it has to alleviate high levels of stress.

Over time, too much stress can have a variety of negative effects on the body. For instance, it can cause excessive muscle tension, digestive issues, fatigue, low libido, headaches, chronic pain, and even hair loss.

Stress is managed by cortisol, a hormone that is created in our adrenal glands. When someone undergoes excessive amounts of stress, too much cortisol can be created and the adrenal glands can become fatigued. This leads to many mental and physical health issues, including anxiety and chronic pain.

Luckily, massage therapy has the power to reduce stress, which then decreases cortisol levels in the body.

I'm So Excited!

I have loved the office space I'm currently in, but have the oportunity to move my office back to my original stomping grounds. Beginning on May 13, I will be practicing in my new office space on 7th Street. If you've been a long time client, it's directly accross the parking lot from where I was before (in the same plaza as 7th Street Deli). Here's the address:

I will be sharing a unit with Designed to Heal Chiropractic and I'm looking forward to being back on 7th. My good old business sign will be hanging above my window and I will update all of my address info and add photos on my website on Sunday the 12th so you all can still google maps me and get to the right place.
