11 of us headed to top of Rabbit’s Ear mountain this morning - hiking with B Group from Grand Junction. Elevation and new hiking boots got me. Didn’t make the whole 6.6 mile Hike:-( cool thing I learned it’s Important to sign in register at trailhead as the BLM gets credit for each hiker towards upkeep on the trails. Soon it will be too hot mid day to hike many of these trails with the ferocious sun .

Yesterday’s Newcomers club hike was amazing! Always is:-) I’ve never hiked the Serpents Trail in the Colorado National monument and so excited I did! I learn something on each hike - like about the Superstitious Rock on this trail. My hiking buddy, gave us each a rock to throw on Superstitious Rock shown in photos!!! He said if your rock doesn’t fall off the rock, you will have good luck all day. If your rock falls off… bad luck all day There were thousands of fallen off rocks at the base of the huge Superstitious Rock. Took me 5 tries 🤣

Blue bird 🐦 day for some winter cleaning in my back yard. I rearranged my plants and raked everything. Passed along mum plants and a flowering bush to my neighbors.

Woohoo! Washer pits are calling for players. But i am waiting for leaves on trees 😅
