Every New Year’s Eve, I spend two hours in deep meditation — reflecting on the year that’s passed and consciously setting the tone for the year ahead.

In yoga, this is called Sankalpa.
It’s not a resolution.
💫 A resolution is a firm decision to do something.
💫 An intention is a heartfelt purpose — an inner aim that guides how you live.

Here’s the truth:
Resolutions can sometimes do more harm than good. When we don’t “succeed” or complete them, they can leave us feeling defeated — mentally and emotionally. Almost like a setup for failure.

A Sankalpa, on other hand, is formed by the heart and the mind.
It’s positive.
It’s motivation.
It’s conscious energy that already lives within you.
It’s not about forcing change — it’s about remembering who you are and allowing that truth to guide you.

I’m looking forward to my deep meditation tomorrow 🙏🏻🌟
