It is Children’s Book Week and we love celebrating the power of reading here at Altitude! 📚

Even a few minutes of reading together each day can make a big difference over time. Studies show that children who are read to regularly develop stronger language skills and are better prepared for school.

We are proud to be part of Reach Out and Read — a program that helps families build early literacy by giving books to children during well-child visits.

This week is a great time to pull out a book your child loves and spend a few minutes reading together!!

October is SIDS Awareness Month. A reminder of how precious and fragile early life can be. At Altitude, we stand alongside parents, caregivers, and health professionals working to better understand and prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Awareness begins with conversation. This month, we encourage families to talk openly with their provider about safe sleep environments, sleep positioning, and what current research tells us about reducing risk.

Together, we can continue to create safer spaces for every baby to grow and thrive.

Meet Berit Renfro, our newest behavioral health intern! 🌟

Berit graduated from the University of Wyoming with her Bachelor’s in Social Work and is now earning her Master’s at Colorado Mesa University. She’s passionate about helping children and teens better understand their emotions and how those emotions play a role in their everyday lives.

We’re so happy to have Berit as part of our growing behavioral health team, continuing our mission to support the whole child, mind and body.
