We called it Joy Rides.

As part of Comfort Keepers’ national Day of Joy, Comfort Keepers' owner Jeff Pitts spent the week driving clients and caregivers around in a rented Corvette Z51. It was easily the most fun he's had since becoming an owner.

He picked up clients at home, at assisted living communities, even at skilled nursing facilities. One quick visit turned into five unexpected rides, because word got around fast and everyone wanted in.

One of the most memorable rides was with a Veteran who’s completely blind. He couldn’t see the canyon views, but he could feel the curves in the road, hear the rumble of the engine, and told Jeff afterward he hadn’t felt that free in a long time.

We didn’t do this because it was efficient. We did it because it mattered.
Clients are still calling the office asking when the car’s coming back. It’s officially going to be an annual tradition.

This is what makes Comfort Keepers different. We know care isn’t just about checklists and safety—it’s also about creating real experiences that bring people joy, dignity, and connection. Sometimes that looks like matching caregivers to clients. And sometimes it looks like taking the long way home, top down, through the canyons.
