Autumn Mind Counseling

Autumn Mind Counseling At Autumn Mind Counseling, I provide compassionate therapy for teens, young adults, and adults.

A private practice focused on providing compassionate therapy for teens, young adults & adults 🌿

Client-centered care focused on healing, growth & practical tools for life. I started this practice with clients in mind, creating a space where people can feel safe, understood, and supported. While I value professionalism, I also believe in showing up as a real person—someone you can relate to and build trust with. My approach is client-centered and grounded in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I draw from several research-backed therapy models and interventions, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. My goal is to walk alongside you in your journey, honoring your experiences while helping you heal, grow, and build practical tools for life.

Self-care doesn’t have to be big or complicated. A stretch, a warm drink, a quiet moment — small things can support your nervous system in meaningful ways.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it can bring up a lot of feelings — excitement, gratitude, loneliness, pressure, or even confusion. Wherever you are this year, your experience is valid.

Love isn’t limited to romantic relationships.
It can look like:
💛 Kindness toward yourself
💛 Connection with friends
💛 Support from community
💛 Healing old wounds
💛 Rest, boundaries, and self-respect
💛 A dog who thinks you hang the moon 🐾✨

Oliver’s reminder:
You are worthy of love in all its forms - from others, and from yourself.
This season is for you, too.

I’m honored to share that I’m now an approved mental health provider for the Mesa County Crime Victim Compensation Program.

This program may help cover the cost of therapy for individuals who have been impacted by a crime and are working with Crime Victim Compensation in Mesa County. There are specific steps and eligibility requirements involved.

If you’re wondering whether this might apply to you or someone you support, I offer a free consultation to talk through the process, answer questions, and see if this could be a good fit.

📩 Feel free to reach out via DM or through my website to schedule a consult.

Eligibility and payment are determined by the Crime Victim Compensation Program.

A new year doesn’t have to mean pressure or perfection.
January can simply be a soft starting point - a moment to choose goals that fit your life, your energy, and your season.

Instead of asking “How can I change everything?”, try asking:
✨ “What small shifts would support me this year?”
✨ “What would feel nourishing, not overwhelming?”
✨ “What is one thing I can realistically commit to?”

Oliver’s reminder:
Small, steady steps are still progress. You’re allowed to grow at a pace that feels kind to you. 🐾🤎

As the year comes to a close, pause and acknowledge your strength - the choices you made, the challenges you carried, the moments you didn’t think you’d get through but did.

Growth isn’t always loud or visible. Sometimes it looks like simply showing up, holding on, or trying again after a hard day.

Oliver’s reminder:
You deserve credit for every quiet step forward.
You made it through another year, and that matters. 🐾✨

We rarely give ourselves enough credit. Healing, growing, and navigating life takes courage. Pause and acknowledge how far you’ve come, even if the steps felt small. 🐾

The holidays can be joyful — and stressful. Feeling pressure to say “yes” to every event or obligation is normal, but it can also drain your energy.

Boundaries are a skill you can practice:
🤍 Politely decline invitations that don’t feel right
❤️ Set time limits for events
💚 Communicate your needs clearly (“I can only stay for an hour,” or “I need some quiet time before dinner”)

Boundaries are not selfish. They help you show up fully, without resentment or burnout.

Remember: taking care of yourself is part of celebrating the season.

Hi friends, Oliver here 🐶🌿! When life feels overwhelming, try a simple grounding exercise: pause, breathe, and notice what’s around you. It’s a quick way to bring your mind back to the present moment. 💛
