🧘‍♀️ Goat & Lamb Yoga at the Farm 🐐🐑

Come unwind, laugh, and connect with nature in our Goat & Lamb Yoga experience at the farm.

This gentle, all-levels yoga class is set outdoors, surrounded by fresh air, wide-open space, and our playful baby goats and lambs. Don’t be surprised if a curious kid hops on your back or a lamb snuggles in during savasana—it’s all part of the magic.

✨ What to Expect:
• Beginner-friendly, slow-flow yoga
• Interaction with friendly goats & lambs
• A relaxed, joy-filled atmosphere (this is not your typical quiet yoga class 😉)
• Time after class to cuddle, take photos, and connect

🌿 Perfect For:
• Families & kids
• Girls’ outings
• Homeschool groups
• Anyone needing a little laughter + fresh air

Spring is here and the farm refrigerator is filling up fast. Fresh eggs stacked high and jars of raw milk from the girls who have already kidded.

Three more does are still waiting to deliver, so the real milk flow hasn’t even started yet. Spring on a dairy farm means early mornings, full jars, and grateful hearts.

Dinner tonight from the skillet.

March on the Western Slope means the pantry, freezer, and early greens all come together. Tonight’s stir fry has a mix of farm and local foods.

Can you guess what locally grown foods made it into our dinner?

A few clues:
• Something green that comes up early in spring
• Eggs from the coop
• A little bit from last year’s harvest
• Something preserved from the garden

What do you see in the pan?

Cooking at home doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just using what the season — and your kitchen — already has.

Week 3: Fridge Reset 🧊

This week we move to the refrigerator.
If
Week 1 was cabinets
and Week 2 was pantry…
Week 3 is where daily habits live.

Step 1: Take Everything Out
Yes — everything.
Check expiration dates.
Toss old leftovers.
Wipe down shelves and drawers.
Start fresh.

Step 2: Remove the Hidden Trouble
Look for:
Sugary condiments

Seed oil dressings

Processed deli meats

Artificial creamers

Old sauces with long ingredient lists

If it doesn’t support healing, it doesn’t stay.

Step 3: Restock with Nourishing Basics
Focus on real, simple foods:

🥚 Pasture-raised eggs
🥩 Cooked meats (ready for quick meals)
🥣 Homemade bone broth
🥕 Washed and cut vegetables
🧈 Real butter or tallow
🥬 Fermented foods (sauerkraut, pickles without vinegar)
🍗 Leftovers stored in glass containers
Make the healthy choice the easy choice.
When your fridge is stocked with real food,
meals become simple.
When meals are simple,
consistency follows.
Small weekly changes create lifelong health.
Next week, we’ll focus on simple cooking rhythms that make this sustainable.
With care,
Dawn Donalson, CGC

Our Story

S**g Valley Farm is a family owned farm whose mission is to provide high quality meat, dairy, eggs, various herbs, elderberry syrups, soaps, lotions and essential oils! We have enjoyed providing high quality foods for our family the past seventeen years. Our journey started 19 years ago after my daughter was diagnosed with asthma at the age of two. Having experienced what is like growing up with allergies and asthma from spending a substantial portion of my childhood in hospitals and doctors’ offices, I know that having a restricting life is not for any child! Shortly after my daughter was diagnosed, I was introduced to traditional foods with the Weston Price Foundation. In 2002, I quickly became a advocate for eating whole and traditional food like our ancestors ate. I was blessed with being able to serve as a chapter leader for Weston a Price Foundation in our community since 2008and a Certified GAPS Coach. I’ve made it my life’s mission to train families on how to improve their diets through the traditional ways of cooking and finding high quality foods to improve their lives...
