While this might not be tea, it is a midwinter inspiration that growing things will be returning sooner rather than later. When temperatures start to fall along with colorful leaves, I pull out all the warming teas. My favorites have a base of cinnamon or ginger, to increase blood flow and warm cold limbs. I keep a big jar of my tea on hand to brew up as soon as I need to feel a little more cozy.

Herbal salves are mighty little bits of herbal goodness for your skin! Made of herb infused oil (I like olive oil for its universal friendliness + ability to have a long shelf life), beeswax and sometimes an essential oil or two. Slather some on the skin that needs it and soak all those herbs up!

Available in my online store today - Creaky Bones Rub for achy joints (cayenne pepper + peppermint) and BooBoo Salve for minor skin irritations, bug bites and more (comfrey, plantain, yarrow + calendula).
