This is Steve Howie, Kaufman County Emergency Management Manager and overseer of the CareFlite Kaufman County contract.

Steve and his family donated 50 teddy bears to CareFlite for pediatric patients, in loving memory of Dallas Firefighter Gerald Fields, who died in the line of duty. 🧸🧡

Over the weekend, we honored the life and service of our friend and colleague, Michael Swope. 🧡Surrounded by his Lewisville Fire family and his loving family, we paid tribute with a missing man flyover as he was laid to rest, an enduring symbol of his dedication and the legacy he leaves behind

Our friends at North Texas Medical Center were prepping their Christmas parade float, our CareFlite crew stopped by and snapped photos with “Dr. Frosty.” We told the kids Frosty arrived by helicopter from the North Pole!! Their reactions were priceless! ❄️🚁

With heavy hearts, we honor the life of former CareFlite Flight Paramedic and Lewisville Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Swope. Michael served with CareFlite from 2022–2024 and was known for his professionalism, compassion, and dedication to others.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father of three, and man of faith. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the entire public safety community. His legacy will never be forgotten. 🤍
