The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that 47 children have died of the flu so far during the 2024-’25 season. Flu activity remains elevated and is increasing across the country, according to new data from the CDC.

Sixteen pediatric influenza-associated deaths were reported for the week ending Jan. 25, according to the CDC, bringing the total to 47 pediatric deaths in the 2024-’25 season.
