Today is Autism Acceptance Day, and we want to be honest about what that means to us.
It's not about raising awareness that autism exists. Parents in this community advocate and fight for your daughters every single day.
Real acceptance looks like schools that understand autistic girls. Health services that take them seriously. A SEND system that actually delivers the support it promises.
We're not there yet. But we're not stopping either.

Today, we're celebrating every autistic girl and woman, and every parent, carer, and supporter standing alongside them. You are not alone in this.

This Autism Acceptance Month, we celebrate the beautiful diversity within the autism community. Every child we meet brings their own unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world. We believe that individuality deserves to be understood, respected, and supported.

At Pediatric Mindworks, we are honored to work with incredible children and families every day. This quote attributed to Dr. Stephen Shore reminds us that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care. True support begins with listening, learning, and embracing each child for who they are.

This month is often called Autism Awareness month, but awareness is not enough. Let’s move beyond awareness to acceptance and from acceptance to appreciation. ❤️

In case you were planning to attend the neuro-affirming caregiver support group, the date has changed!

We're chasing sunshine for spring break.
Our neuro-affirming caregiver support group is cancelled for April 7th!

A make up meeting will take place on Friday April 24th at 10 am. As always, drop ins are welcome. If your schedule allows, join for coffee, tea & bagels.

Finding the right support for your child can feel like a journey, and Dr. Martha is here to make that path clearer. She specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments for toddlers through adolescents.

Whether your family is wondering about autistic, ADHD, learning differences, or other neurodiverse neurotypes, Dr. Martha brings a wealth of expertise and a heart for advocacy to every evaluation.

After discussing with participants, our neuro-affirming parent support group will continue every first Tuesday of the month from 6:50 pm- 8:30 pm in person.

Thank you to all of you who provided feedback, please know I am continuing to think about how to make this group more accessible for those of you have not been able to participate, but remain interested.

We’ve always said that finding the right person for the PMC family is about more than just a resume or training. It’s about finding a heart that aligns with our beliefs. We’ve been patient, we’ve been selective, and now… it’s finally official.

Our team is growing! We can’t wait for you to meet the newest psychologist joining Dr. Warholic and Dr. Maurer.
