✨There’s a stage of healing that isn’t talked about enough.✨

The part where your nervous system starts rejecting what your mind once justified.

Where you can no longer stay in dynamics, roles, or environments that aren’t aligned, even if they once felt like home.

🌱 This isn’t impulsivity.
🌱 This isn’t failure.

This is what happens when your body catches up to your truth.

Healing expands your capacity, but it also raises your standards for what you can tolerate.

And that can feel like grief, confusion, and clarity all at once.

If you’re here right now…you’re not lost.

You’re outgrowing what was never meant to hold the version of you you’re becoming. 🤍

✨Healing isn’t loud.✨

It doesn’t always look like breakthroughs or big emotional releases.

Sometimes it looks like:
🌱 not overthinking
🌱 not chasing
🌱 not reacting
🌱 not abandoning yourself

Just… being. ❤️

When your nervous system starts to feel safe, you stop living in survival mode, and start living in alignment.

And from that place,
everything you choose feels different.

✨Things your trauma therapist notices that you might not.✨

In therapy, there are quiet moments that matter more than people realize.

🌱 The moment someone stops minimizing their story.
🌱 The moment someone lets themselves feel something they’ve pushed away for years.
🌱 The moment someone realizes their survival strategies once protected them.

Healing doesn’t always look dramatic.
Often it looks like courage in small moments.

And those moments are where real change begins. ❤️

✨A few things I won’t stop saying as a trauma therapist.✨

After sitting with people through grief, trauma, growth, and healing, there are some truths that keep showing up.

Healing is not about forcing yourself to move on faster.
It’s not about being perfect, productive, or “fixed.”

It’s about learning how to feel safe enough to be honest with yourself. It’s about understanding the ways your nervous system learned to survive. And slowly creating new ways of relating to your life, your relationships, and your story.

Healing doesn’t require perfection. ❤️

It requires compassion, patience, and the courage to stay curious about yourself.

And that’s something I’ll always believe in. 🙌🏻

✨Many of us were taught that being “strong” means pushing through, staying quiet, and keeping everything together no matter what we’re feeling inside. Over time, that can create a deep disconnection from our emotions and from our bodies.✨

But the nervous system doesn’t simply forget what we suppress. When feelings are consistently ignored or pushed down, they often show up in other ways, such as chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, irritability, physical tension, or a sense of emotional numbness.

Healing doesn’t come from pretending everything is okay. It often begins when we slow down enough to notice what we’re actually feeling and respond to ourselves with curiosity and compassion instead of judgment.

Listening to your body isn’t weakness.
It’s wisdom. 🙌🏻

✨Some connections feel magnetic. Almost like your nervous system recognizes something before your mind can explain it.✨

For many people, especially those who have experienced trauma, intense emotional chemistry can feel powerful and meaningful. And sometimes it is.

But healing often involves learning the difference between intensity and safety in relationships.

The healthiest connections tend to feel steady, supportive, and regulated, not just emotionally charged. ❤️

Understanding your nervous system can help you build relationships that feel both meaningful and safe.

✨Many therapists are drawn to this work because we believe deeply in people and their capacity to heal.✨

We witness pain, resilience, growth, and transformation every day. And while therapy is a profession, it’s also a calling rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when someone feels safe enough to be seen, heard, and supported.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your therapist truly cares, the answer is often yes, more than you know. ❤️

✨There are a few things I won’t budge on as a trauma therapist.✨

After years of working with people navigating complex trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and painful relationship patterns, I’ve seen what actually helps people heal, and what doesn’t.

Trauma isn’t just something you “think your way out of.”
It lives in the nervous system, in the body, and in the way we experience connection.

Real healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore their story without shame and learn new ways of relating to themselves and others.

And that process deserves patience, compassion, and support.

If you’re on a healing journey right now, you’re not broken, you’re learning.

And that takes courage. ❤️

Hi, I’m Helena, and I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can finally exhale. Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a therapist who truly understands the weight of what you’ve been carrying, I’m here to support you.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Lourdes University and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and recovery. My clinical work has allowed me to support people through some of their most overwhelming and vulnerable moments and I deeply value creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, and emotional safety.

I also bring extensive experience working with mandated clients, including individuals involved with parole and probation, as well as those participating in intensive outpatient programs (IOP). I have facilitated group therapy and worked closely with the Guiding Light Women’s Recovery Program, collaborating with recovery-focused systems of care to support accountability, growth, and long-term stability. I understand that entering therapy through structured systems can feel intimidating, and my goal is to make the process feel empowering, supportive, and judgment-free.

As someone who comes from a diverse cultural background, I understand how identity, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and generational experiences can deeply impact mental health. I believe therapy should be a space where all parts of you welcome your culture, values, spirituality, upbringing, and lived experiences. Many clients carry the pressure of “holding it together” for everyone else, or feeling misunderstood in environments that don’t reflect who they are. My goal is to offer a safe, grounded space where you feel seen, supported, and understood without having to explain or minimize your experience.

✨Many people worry their therapist is secretly judging them.✨

In reality, therapists are often thinking about how your experiences shaped you and how to help you move toward healing.

Therapy is not about perfection.
It’s about honesty, safety, and growth.

If you’re ready to start your healing journey, we’d love to support you.

✨One of the most common fears people bring into therapy is the belief that their therapist is secretly judging them.✨

The reality is that trauma-informed therapy focuses on understanding behavior through the lens of nervous system regulation, attachment, and life experiences, not moral judgment.

When people feel safe enough to be honest, real healing begins. ❤️

If you’ve been thinking about therapy but feel nervous to open up, you’re not alone. That fear is incredibly common.

And it’s also the place where growth often starts. 🌱

✨For many trauma survivors, being truly seen can feel more threatening than comforting.✨

When visibility once meant criticism, unpredictability, or emotional harm, the nervous system adapts by staying small, guarded, or invisible.

Healing involves slowly creating experiences of safe connection where your story, emotions, and needs can exist without danger.

You deserve relationships where being seen feels safe. ❤️
