At The Fertility Center, we know that infertility is a deeply personal issue affecting all areas of a couple’s life. Founded in 1991 by Dr. William Dodds & Dr. James Young, we offer services designed to address each couple’s unique needs from basic fertility evaluation to In Vitro Fertilization and Donor services. We draw upon the extensive experience of our physicians, lab director and nursing professionals to optimize your chances for success. In addition to our medical services, we offer one-on-one counseling services with a certified infertility counselor, free of charge. We invite you to schedule an appointment with Dr. Valerie Shavell, Dr. Mili Thakur, Dr. Emma Giuliani, or Dr. Gary Jones at one of our locations in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Mason, or Traverse City, where together we can develop a successful treatment plan for achieving your dream. Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. A day where we can collectively honor all of the sweet souls that left us too soon. While this day may bring sadness and grief, it’s also a reminder that though these babies left us too soon, the love we feel for them will continue on forever.

As a practice, it’s important to reiterate that we look to the professional organizations in our field and follow the guidelines set forth by both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) as well as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

In light of recent conversations surrounding acetaminophen, commonly known as Tylenol, we felt it was important to reassure our patients that the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy is a safe option for pain, reducing fevers, etc.

Our exhale group is such a valuable resource to our patients! Hosted by our staff counselor, Amanda, it’s a wonderful way to join a community of people who understand what you’re going through.

However, one thing we always hear from our patients is how time is so limited. Balancing infertility with work and life is tricky. So we thought we’d find a way to make it easier to fit some extra emotional support into your day.
