First round of postpartum meal prep is complete! We spent all day making 3 nourishing soups from the First Forty Days book. 📖

The house smelled incredible and our future selves are going to be thanking our past selves for this act of love! ❤️

What was your Sunday craving? 🍁☀️🥘

Not only did I get my craving, but I also nourished baby boy in utero with the BEST food as medicine. Slow cooked meat in homemade broth is FULL of glycine, protein, collagen, vitamins and minerals. All of those goodies are incredible building blocks to keep him growing strong, and support my body doing it! 👶🏼

Secret Diary! 💭🍼📝

It’s been so difficult not sharing each step of my pregnancy journey with you, but here’s some context as to why I took a break!

Having to go on bed rest for weeks was completely unexpected and obviously limited what I was able to do for a while. Having a
“waiting period” to see if baby would be okay, was the most overwhelming and humbling experience of my life. “Guard your heart” was not a phrase I assumed I would hear from a medical professional, but it became my reality.

HOWEVER, baby is a resilient fighter, and continues to thrive in my cozy womb, oblivious to the worry we felt. 💙

This pregnancy has been a blessing in every way, and will continue to teach us lessons about life! Thank you for anyone who prayed for or supported us during that difficult time. Ryan and I truly have the BEST village around us! 🙏🏻

2. Cabbage is high in folate (B9) and antioxidants to support healthy cells. It also is a cruciferous veg, meaning it helps eliminate estrogen from the body!

3. Grass-fed beef is a complete protein full of iron, zinc and L-carnatine- all of which are supportive for male/female fertility!

4. Organic chicken helps support egg quality and s***m function!

5. Raw carrot + cabbage are both high in fiber and help the body eliminate excess estrogen!

Fiber is such an underrated food as medicine tool! Fiber is what binds to waste in the digestive tract to move it OUT! Without it, we get backed up and hold on to junk. Hormones leave the body through this system, so fiber intake is CRUCIAL if you are trying to balance hormones! 🥗
