What is Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)?
DNS is a rehabilitative approach developed based on the principles of developmental kinesiology, which studies how infants develop movement patterns during their first year of life. Essentially, DNS uses the developmental positions and movements of babies as a blueprint for optimal movement in adults.
The core idea is that babies, through natural reflexive movements, establish ideal patterns of core stabilization and movement coordination. These patterns, if maintained, provide a stable base for all subsequent motor activities. DNS aims to restore and optimize these fundamental movement patterns in individuals of all ages.
