Grand Rapids MSU Diagnostic Radiology Residency

Ours is a community-based radiology residency program affiliated with Michigan State University – College of Human Medicine. We have six times as many faculty as residents, 10 hours of conference time a week, a huge volume of cases, outstanding equipment, multiple transplant services, and several hospitals including a gorgeous new children’s hospital. Our affiliated hospital systems have one Level

1 trauma center and two Level 2 trauma centers. Mercy Health St. Mary’s has the only breast center in Michigan that is a Certified Quality Breast Center - one of 12 in the nation. Spectrum Health was named one of the nation’s top 100 health systems in 2010 by Thomson Reuters – the only health system in Michigan to receive this honor. In 2012 our ACR In-Training Exam average score was in the top 20th percentile in the nation. Our residents get excellent fellowships at such location as The Barrow Institute, Emory, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins University, Mallinkrodt, Mayo, Medical College of Wisconsin, University of Michigan and University of Wisconsin. This is a moderate-sized, friendly program with a great collegial spirit amongst all our residents.
