We're excited to announce that Sydney Leslie is our Employee of the Month! 🎉
Syndey joined the Easterseals MORC team in August 2023 and is currently and ABA Technician.
Below is a snippet of her nomination:
"Sydney is an outstanding Behavior Technician whose dedication, professionalism, and heart for this work shine through in everything she does.
Sydney consistently builds strong, meaningful relationships with the children she supports—kids genuinely light up when they see her. Families trust her deeply because she is reliable, honest, and communicates with care and integrity. She approaches her work with consistency and compassion, always putting the well‑being of our individuals first.
Beyond her direct clinical work, Sydney exemplifies what it means to be a team player. During a recent team discussion focused on mitigating stress and burnout, Sydney took initiative in a truly impactful way. She created a “Gratitude Shoutouts” Teams channel, providing a space for staff to recognize and appreciate one another. Team members share shoutouts when they notice a colleague doing something meaningful or supportive. Sydney amplifies shoutouts by organizing weekly awards for both the most shoutouts given and received. This has already fostered positivity, connection, and morale across the team.
What makes this even more remarkable is that Sydney has taken on this leadership and culture‑building role while simultaneously juggling graduate school and an internship here at Easterseals MORC.
