River City Psychological Services is a group of psychologists, professional counselors, and social workers striving to create a safe environment where people of all ages can grow and heal. We provide mental health therapy and counseling to people who experience problems related to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship stressors, and reactions to grief. Many of our clinicians have had focused training related to providing psychotherapy services to people who struggle with addiction, as well as people who have been through traumas, including childhood abuse. We have clinicians who focus on working in the areas of life transitions, spirituality, relationships, and multicultural issues. We work with a variety of people including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We have clinicians who receive ongoing specific training working with transgender and gender expansive individuals. We recognize the existence of systemic racism and strive to be an Anti-Racist practice, always working towards a socially just environment. We are committed to personal growth as clinicians, education, and advocacy for our clients and community. We offer ADHD psychological testing and evaluation, as well as the thorough documentation many schools, universities, and physicians require for accommodations. We offer letter writing for support and advocacy for the transgender community for coordination of care. As a trans therapist, Whitney (they/them) shows up to therapy as the human that they are, to get to know their clients and to be part of their growth. They practice as a therapist has grown through the lens of Infant Mental Health which emphasizes the role of relationships and play in healing. They love to work with people of all ages, families, and partners to help them love and take care of the babies inside them.

They believe we are each born with gifts and somatic intuition. Oftentimes, the trauma of this world and in our lives takes us away from that.
