We were proud to host Part Two of the Dry Needling Certification Course in partnership with American Academy of Manipulative Therapy-Dry Needling Institute. The course brought together 29 participants, including 9 of our own physical therapists, for an intensive, hands-on learning experience focused on advancing clinical skill and patient outcomes.

Why dry needling matters:
Dry needling is an evidence-informed technique used by physical therapists to:

✔️Target myofascial trigger points contributing to pain and dysfunction
✔️Reduce neuromuscular pain and muscle tension
✔️Improve joint mobility and movement efficiency
✔️Restore normal muscle activation patterns
✔️Support faster return to activity and sport when appropriate
✔️Enhance outcomes when combined with therapeutic exercise and manual therapy

A huge congratulations to our nine clinicians who dedicated their weekend to continued professional development. Investing in advanced education like this ensures we continue to deliver high-level, patient-centered care—centered on you.

Our Jenison team recently partnered with West Michigan Club House to provide complimentary baseball injury screenings for their athletes.

These screenings help identify potential deficits or red flags in throwing athletes before the season ramps up, allowing players to address issues early and reduce their risk of injury. Prevention plays a critical role in helping athletes stay healthy, active, and on the mound throughout the season.

If you have a throwing athlete preparing for spring baseball or softball, it’s not too late to schedule an injury risk screening. Call our team today at (616) 954-0950 to learn more.

Please help us welcome two familiar faces to our Middleville clinic!

Nick Manzer and Adam Krol are not new to The Center, but we are excited to have both of them now serving patients in the community they call home.

Nick Manzer has been treating athletes at our Sports Academy in Cascade. As a former college athlete, he has a passion for helping athletes return to the sports they love. Nick is OCS and MDT certified and brings advanced skills and experience to our Middleville team.

Nick shared, “While I am not a native, I married into the Middleville family. My wife and her entire family live in the area and we moved back to her hometown after getting married and have been here for almost 8 years. I am very excited to be transitioning to the Middleville clinic and look forward to growing and treating in my community.”

Adam Krol joined The Center in 2025 and has been eager to move to our Middleville location. With a strong interest in general orthopedics and sports medicine, Adam is passionate about serving the area where he grew up.

Adam shared, “I grew up in the Middleville area and have strong ties to the community through local schools, athletics, and family. Being from a small town like this has shaped who I am, and it’s meaningful to now be serving the same community that helped raise me.”

We are proud to have therapists who are invested not only in their patients, but in their community.

If you know Nick or Adam, drop a comment below and help us welcome them to Middleville!

March is National Athletic Training Month!

We are proud to recognize our 13 athletic trainers at The Center — and the vital work they do every day to keep athletes, patients, workers, and community members moving safely and confidently. This includes roles in:

-High School Athletics
-University Athletics
-Industrial Medicine
-Clinical & Wellness Care
-Marketing

This March, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association celebrates the profession with the theme “Care You Can Count On.” It’s a reminder of the trust, expertise, and commitment athletic trainers bring to health care — from injury prevention and assessment to rehabilitation and performance support.

Our athletic trainers are more than sideline support — they are highly trained health care professionals who help keep people safe, mobile, and active in every setting they serve.

Thank you to our AT team for your dedication and the care you provide in schools, workplaces, clinics, and beyond!

Falls do not have to be a normal part of aging — and they’re often preventable.

Physical Therapy plays a key role in fall prevention. In PT, we identify balance deficits, improve strength, and work on safe movement strategies to reduce fall risk and build confidence.

But at The Center, balance training doesn’t end when PT ends.

Our Wellness Academy offers SilverSneakers® and One Pass balance classes that reinforce and build on the skills learned in therapy. It’s a seamless transition from rehab to continued strength, stability, and independence.

For seniors — this is how you protect the progress you’ve made.
For adult children — this is how you help your parents stay safe and independent.

Call us today to learn more about balance therapy and our Wellness Academy classes.
