Through my Ayurvedic education and life experiences, I have learned the most effective way to start solving problems is by applying a holistic approach to health—assessing the whole situation or person, identifying all the parts within, and increasing functionality through communication of all parts. Create UNITY.
Here’s how I do it! …
Education is important for health. I am a certified SomaVeda® Thai Yoga practitioner and Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultant from the Thai Yoga Center in Florida. I have a BA in Chinese Studies from DePaul University in Chicago and am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in natural medicine with the SomaVeda® College of Natural Medicine.
Movement is important for health. I dance and practice yoga regularly at the Armentality Movement Arts Center in Grand Rapids. As a Thai Yoga practitioner, I move through yoga postures to facilitate mobility and circulation of the client’s body during therapy sessions.
Food is important for health. I enjoy cooking at home and experimenting with different recipes to incorporate optimum nutritional benefit and flavor. I maintain my own small garden of herbs and vegetables during the summer and enjoy the benefits of harvesting fresh ingredients.
Self-expression is important for health. I write poetry, draw, create music, and sew. I research and create my own solutions for improvement whenever possible.
Meditation is important for health. I spend a moment every day to focus my thoughts on gratitude of what I have, who I am, and the experiences and people who have gotten me to this point. I practice reflecting upon my own self and my relationships with others.
UNITY is how I help YOU do it!
