Horseradish!!! Keeps the gardening fun going!

This is my first time harvesting our horseradish and I didn’t expect to see new growth.

When I look out at the snow I assume everything is dead under the snow but it turns out there are secrets hidden under that blanket of white!

Even in below freezing temperatures life is sprouting up.

I’m reading two books and the same message keeps coming up: Loneliness.

teaches that exhaustion at work is often really isolation.

describes the heartache women face from a lifetime of wounds that leave us feeling alone even sounded by family.

I didn’t start these books at the same time knowing how they would build on each other. They make me wonder: How do we get better at connection?

It’s interesting to check the news after being off grid for a day. I wasn’t out protesting, but what we did was important.

We appreciated beauty. We were kind to strangers and they returned the kindness. We helped each other when our packs started to hurt and the trail felt too long.

Mother Theresa once said, “Do small things with great love.” That’s my way of fighting the man I suppose 🥰
