“Only boys can have ADHD” 😕❓
This myth still shows up way too often… and it’s hurting girls who are struggling silently.
ADHD doesn’t always look like hyperactivity or “acting out.” For many girls, it looks like overthinking everything, forgetting assignments, zoning out in class, feeling anxious, or trying *really* hard to hold it all together.
Instead of getting support, they’re often labeled as “dramatic,” “too sensitive,” or “attention-seeking.” Meanwhile, they’re masking, overwhelmed, and wondering why things feel harder for them than everyone else.
Girls with ADHD deserve to be heard, understood, and supported—not overlooked. 💛
If something feels off, trust that instinct. Ask questions. Listen closely. Early support can make a world of difference in confidence, school, and emotional well-being.
Our clinicians are here to help your child build skills, confidence, and understanding around ADHD.
