As I close out this past year at Heart to Heart Midwifery, I pause with deep gratitude for every family who trusted me with some of their most meaningful moments.
In 2025, I had the honor of serving 58 families.
Within those stories were 11 families who experienced pregnancy loss—each baby deeply remembered, each family held with tenderness, care, and respect.
Among the babies welcomed, 54% were girls and 46% were boys.
Thirteen families were preparing to meet their first baby, while 19 families returned for care, allowing me the privilege of walking with them again—something I never take lightly.
Fifty-seven percent of babies were born in water, surrounded by calm, warmth, and loving support.
The smallest baby, born at 3 lbs 1 oz, arrived prematurely in the hospital due to preeclampsia—a powerful reminder of the importance of vigilance, collaboration, and informed care.
The largest baby arrived strong and beautiful at 10 lbs 6 oz.
Behind the scenes, this care included:
• 801 appointments
• 361 days on call
• Nearly 15,000 miles traveled to bring personalized, heart-centered care to families across our region
Every visit, every mile, every late-night call matters—because families matter. Thank you for trusting me with your stories, your births, and your hearts. It is an honor beyond words.
I am deeply thankful for the trust placed in me and will be taking a short time of rest and renewal in January—creating time to be present with family and to return refreshed for the families I will serve in the year ahead.
