Midwifery is a tradition built on trust. Women should be nurtured, respected, and supported in their choices throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum period. Pregnancy and birth are normal and natural life events. Homebirth has been proven to be a safe option for healthy women. Each woman has unique needs and desires, so I strive to individualize my services to best meet them.

Ever wonder how midwives know how dilated a mom is during labor? 🌿

This is our cervical dilation board — a hands-on visual tool that helps show what each stage of dilation looks like. It’s a simple, educational way for families to better understand what’s happening as labor progresses.

We love using tools like this to bring clarity, confidence, and comfort to the birthing experience. At Heart to Heart, we believe that when you understand what your body is doing, you can truly trust the process. 🤍

Today is World Prematurity Day — a day that holds deep meaning for so many families, including our own.

We honor the strength, resilience, and immeasurable courage of families whose little ones arrived earlier than expected. Premature babies may start life with more hurdles, but their determination is powerful — and so is the love that carries them through each milestone, big and small.

This day is especially close to our hearts because prematurity has touched our own team. Featured in today’s photos are Ellie, and Annie, two beautiful fighters who remind us why this work matters so deeply. Ellie is also Molly’s granddaughter — a tender reminder that this journey reaches into the lives of the caregivers who pour so much love into others every day.

To every family walking or who has walked this road: we see you, we honor you, and we’re holding your stories close today. Your babies are miracles. Your love is fierce. And you are never alone.

What a week! 🧩

We welcomed a sweet baby girl, celebrated one client graduating, and welcomed another back into care. Our team logged 509 miles on home visits — and that’s not counting this weekend.

We also took 3rd place at the New Beginnings Pregnancy + Family Support Jigsaw Jamboree, which was such a fun break in the middle of it all!

Grateful for every mile, every moment, and every family we get to walk with.

A little piece of history 🤍

This vintage glass breast pump is a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come in supporting mothers and babies. Once a manual tool used to collect milk through gentle suction, it worked much like today’s popular silicone pumps (often called Haakaas).

While modern versions are softer and more efficient, the purpose remains the same — to make feeding and milk collection a little easier for moms.

We love keeping pieces like this on display as part of our educational tools — a nod to the generations of mothers who have nourished and nurtured with care.

If you’ve ever checked in for your appointment and noticed the painting hanging in our front space — this is the story behind it.

It’s a portrait of Molly’s daughter-in-law, captured in the sacred moment of seeing her baby for the very first time. That baby was Molly’s first grandchild, and this painting now holds a special place in both her heart and ours. 🤍
