Midwifery is a tradition built on trust. Women should be nurtured, respected, and supported in their choices throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum period. Pregnancy and birth are normal and natural life events. Homebirth has been proven to be a safe option for healthy women. Each woman has unique needs and desires, so I strive to individualize my services to best meet them.

We had the best time this past weekend at our staff Christmas party. So much laughter, good food, and time together outside of work — a reminder of just how special this team is!

As I close out this past year at Heart to Heart Midwifery, I pause with deep gratitude for every family who trusted me with some of their most meaningful moments.

In 2025, I had the honor of serving 58 families.
Within those stories were 11 families who experienced pregnancy loss—each baby deeply remembered, each family held with tenderness, care, and respect.

Among the babies welcomed, 54% were girls and 46% were boys.

Thirteen families were preparing to meet their first baby, while 19 families returned for care, allowing me the privilege of walking with them again—something I never take lightly.

Fifty-seven percent of babies were born in water, surrounded by calm, warmth, and loving support.
The smallest baby, born at 3 lbs 1 oz, arrived prematurely in the hospital due to preeclampsia—a powerful reminder of the importance of vigilance, collaboration, and informed care.
The largest baby arrived strong and beautiful at 10 lbs 6 oz.

Behind the scenes, this care included:
• 801 appointments
• 361 days on call
• Nearly 15,000 miles traveled to bring personalized, heart-centered care to families across our region

Every visit, every mile, every late-night call matters—because families matter. Thank you for trusting me with your stories, your births, and your hearts. It is an honor beyond words.

I am deeply thankful for the trust placed in me and will be taking a short time of rest and renewal in January—creating time to be present with family and to return refreshed for the families I will serve in the year ahead.

This past year held so many moments worth celebrating.

We marked 10 years of Heart to Heart Midwifery. A decade of care, trust, and walking alongside families through some of life’s biggest moments.

One of the most meaningful moments of the year was Molly getting to be fully present at the birth of her daughter’s first baby—not as a provider, but as a mom. With care led by Kristine Lauria, Molly was able to witness that moment in its entirety, soaking in every breath and first cry. It is a memory she will carry with her forever.

We gathered for our annual Heart to Heart celebration, reconnecting with current and past babies we’ve had the privilege of catching. One of our favorite reminders of how far each story has come.

We took 3rd place at New Beginnings’ Puzzle Palooza, spoke to the Early Childhood Development class at Minnesota North College, and welcomed new product lines chosen with intention and care.

We grew our team, strengthening the heart behind the work we do every day.

We also hosted our first ever Fill the Birth Pool donation drive, bringing our community together to support New Beginnings and families in need.

Each of these moments reflects what matters most to us—community, connection, learning, and showing up for families in every way we can. We’re deeply thankful for the people who make this work possible and excited for what’s ahead.

Happy New Year from all of us at Heart to Heart Midwifery! 🤍

As we step into a new year, we’re taking a moment to reflect with full hearts. To our families, clients, supporters, and community—thank you for trusting us, walking alongside us, and allowing us to be part of some of life’s most meaningful moments. It is truly an honor to do this work.

2025 held so much growth, connection, and purpose, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful. We can’t wait to share a little look back at what this year held for our team and the families we served—our numbers tell a beautiful story, and they’re coming soon.

Here’s to another year of care, compassion, and community.

A gentle reminder — Our monthly Gather & Grow is coming up again on January 5th.

The holidays can be a full season, especially for moms. So much doing, so much holding. This is your invitation to pause.

Gather & Grow is a quiet, supportive space for pregnant and new moms to slow down, take a breath, and be reminded that motherhood was never meant to be walked alone.

Join us for an evening of connection, listening, and being held in community — without expectations or pressure to show up any certain way.

The shelves are stocked, and the colder days are rolling in — the perfect season for a warm cup of tea.

Herbal teas can be such a gentle way to care for your body — easing nausea, supporting digestion, and helping prepare the uterus for birth.

Our Nourishing Pregnancy Tea is a favorite this time of year — filled with herbs like red raspberry leaf, nettle, and oatstraw to strengthen, hydrate, and replenish essential minerals. It’s comfort you can sip, connection you can feel.

As we look toward a new year, we can’t help but pause and reflect on what an incredible year it has been.
Our family has grown.
