Strong is the new balanced,
Especially for women over 40.

As estrogen naturally declines, we lose muscle and bone density faster, unless we intentionally build it back.

Studies show women 40+ who lift weights just 2–3x/week:

✅ Maintain muscle mass and strength
✅ Support bone density
✅ Improve insulin regulation
✅ Experience better estrogen balance

(Journal of Aging & Physical Activity, 2018)

And no, you don’t need a gym membership or intense workouts ⬇️

Small habit = big results:

• Bodyweight exercises at home
• Resistance bands
• 10–15 minutes of lifting 2–3 days a week

Your hormones want you to be strong, not shrinking.

Your future self will thank you every time you pick up a weight. 💛

Balancing hormones doesn’t have to include a dozen supplements or complicated routines.

As a naturopathic doctor, I love grounding my meals in intentional ingredients, like seed cycling! 🌱

✅ During the follicular phase (cycle days 1–14), I sprinkle flax + pumpkin seeds into my salads.

👉 Easy way to remember: “F + P = Follicular Phase”

These seeds provide nutrients that support healthy estrogen metabolism and adding them to lunch takes 2 seconds.

It’s the little daily habits that build better hormone health. 💛

Research shows thyroid hormones and cortisol fluctuate between summer and winter, a survival mechanism that helps your body adapt to light and temperature changes.

When we ignore that shift and keep living like it’s July (aka - late nights, cold foods, nonstop pace), our hormones struggle to keep up!

Fall is your cue to fuel warmer, rest deeper, and embrace slower mornings.
That’s not woo woo, that’s physiology.

If you’re feeling the seasonal dip — fatigue, mood changes, metabolism shifts — I help women restore balance naturally through personalized hormone care.

Your body shifts with the seasons & your habits should too 🍂

As the days get shorter and colder, your hormones crave warmth, rest, and nourishment. Here are 5 simple ways to support balance this season:

1️⃣ Choose grounding, warm meals
2️⃣ Protect your sleep
3️⃣ Move gently and intentionally
4️⃣ Balance blood sugar
5️⃣ Keep cortisol calm

You don’t need a full overhaul! Just small, steady shifts that honor your body’s rhythm.

In one part of the world, digestion is treated with herbs and acupuncture.
In another, it’s nutrition and lifestyle changes.
In another, it’s stress and nervous system support.

The truth? There’s no single “right” way, only the one that fits you.

That’s what naturopathic medicine is all about: blending global healing wisdom to meet your body’s unique needs. 🌿

PMS can feel like it takes over your entire month, but it doesn’t have to be this way. 🌸

I help women every day get to the root of their PMS, looking at hormones, nutrition, and key labs so they can feel like themselves again.

With a few strategic tweaks and personalized guidance, many women notice huge improvements in just a few months. No more mood swings, bloating, or fatigue controlling your life.

If you’ve been struggling month after month, it might be time to address the root cause instead of just surviving it. 💛

The overwhelm is at an all time high right now. Are you experiencing this too? Our nervous systems are just not designed to handle the constant input of everything we’re listening to, watching, getting notified about, etc. What our nervous systems really need to thrive is a little bit of disconnect from all the input & a little more connection to ourselves, the people around us & nature. Whether that looks like nights off of your phone, deleting apps for a bit, taking a walk without headphones, I urge you to try something to limit all of the constant noise!

If you need help re-wiring your system and getting to experience the healthiest version of you, I’d love to work with you!

As a naturopathic doctor, I know just what a huge impact simple - achievable shifts can make on your health!

If you’re new, sign up for a free 15 minute virtual meet & greet with me & let’s see what we can do to get you feeling your best!

⚡️Feeling wired, tired, or stressed? Your cortisol might be too high. Try these 3 daily hacks to reset your stress hormones:

🍳 Eat within 1 hr of waking → Skipping breakfast can make blood sugar crash + push cortisol higher. A protein-rich meal helps stabilize energy + calm your stress response.

☕️ Wait 60–90 min for caffeine → Cortisol naturally peaks in the morning. Drinking coffee right away can spike stress hormones even more. Waiting until it dips helps caffeine feel smoother (and avoids that crash later).

🎨 Do something that fills your cup → Creative activities (journaling, painting, gardening, even play!) activate “rest + digest” mode, lowering cortisol + boosting happy brain chemicals.

✨Small shifts = big hormone wins. Your body (and mood) will thank you!

Blood sugar balancing + hormone friendly dessert option ➡️ 🎃✨ Pumpkin Protein Mini Muffins ✨🎃

These taste like fall coziness in muffin form — but with ingredients that actually do something for your body.

🌟 Pumpkin → packed with beta-carotene + antioxidants to support immune + skin health, plus fiber to help steady blood sugar.
🌟 Eggs + Cottage Cheese → a solid dose of protein + healthy fats that keep you full and support hormone health.
🌟 Protein Powder → makes these way more blood sugar-friendly than a typical baked good. Protein helps buffer that natural sweetness from maple syrup or honey.
🌟 Cinnamon + Warming Spices → not just cozy — cinnamon especially may help with blood sugar regulation.

✨ Why they’re hormone-friendly: when you combine protein, fiber, and healthy fats, you avoid the blood sugar rollercoaster → steadier energy, mood, and hormone support.

These muffins check the boxes: nourishing, satisfying, and still taste like a treat. 🎃🍫
