Some really great Gua Sha and cupping results! The darker the Petechiae (the stuff that looks like road rash) the more disfunction that is present.
This technique brings up old stagnant blood and promotes new healthy blood to the area. The new blood helps heal the muscles which results in looser muscles and pain relief.
This is my favorite modality to use before Trigger Point Therapy. The blood flow warms up the muscles, which makes the trigger point (finding and releasing the knots) part of the massage more comfortable and I'm able to get deeper much quicker.
