"Head-Heavy" Check-in + Simple Energy Shift Exercise
Are you living from the neck up? (You're not alone.)
Most of us spend 90% of our day in our heads. We're analyzing, worrying, and planning. We forget we have a body until it's to tense or psysically hurts.
Being intentional about how you feel helps pull that frantic energy down, grounding you so you can actually feel your life again. So you WANT to feel it.
So you can be present in the moment, more of the time.
Simple Energy Shift Exercise:
- Pause.
- Place a hand on your heart.
- Breathe into your heart.
- Unclench your jaw.
- Breathe into your belly. Breathe out.
- Drop your shoulders.
- Breathe in and out.
- Give yourself a hug.
- Take a nice deep breath in. HOLD IT for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Now breathe out like you are blowing out candles on a birthday cake.
- Give yourself a squeeze and release your hands.
