Three age-specific sleep classes from newborn through toddler!

Alyssa Veneklase, Certified Elite Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, and Certified Infant & Child Sleep Consultant, offers a series of three sleep classes – Tired As A Mother.

These classes are virtual and people can work with us from anywhere in the world. Each class is $50 and includes handouts, videos that you can watch at your leisure, and a live monthly call with Alyssa to answer questions and talk through specific scenarios.

With late-night feedings, sleep regressions, unexpected fussiness, and never-ending schedule changes, the exhaustion is bound to hit—especially within the first few weeks. We are so grateful to everyone who supported our 10th Annual Diaper Drive with Nestlings | Diaper Bank of West Michigan and the Great Start Parent Coalition. This milestone year was especially meaningful as we celebrated a decade of collecting diapers and wipes to help local families in need across Kent, Ottawa, and Allegan counties.

Our goal this year was to collect 20,000 diapers, but like many community efforts, we felt the impact of a challenging economy and a variety of financial pressures that affected giving. Even so, our community showed up with incredible heart. Together, we collected 8,424 diapers and 110 packs of wipes. Every single one will go directly to families navigating hardship. Gold Coast Doulas also donated $300 to Nestlings to further support their cause.

Diapers may seem small, but they make a big impact. They are not covered by government assistance programs, and as costs rise, many parents are forced to make difficult choices between essentials. Your donations help ease that burden by offering comfort, dignity, and hope for local families.

Even with all the birth classes, apps, and well-meaning advice from everyone who’s ever had a baby, that moment of “should we go NOW?” is genuinely nerve-wracking. You don’t want to arrive too early and get sent home, but you definitely don’t want to cut it too close either.
