Women’s Equality Day is more than a historic milestone—it’s a call to action. At true. Women’s Health, we believe that equity in healthcare is foundational to equity in ALL aspects of women’s lives, including careers, families, and communities.

For too long, women’s health in midlife and menopause has been overlooked. We’re working hard to change that by providing care that is comprehensive, personalized, and grounded in respect for women’s voices and experiences. Women deserve to be seen AND supported. 💙

Last week, true.'s Dr. Diana Bitner had to undergo an emergency appendectomy. This week, she shared her story with Janice Allen FOX 17 to help raise awareness.

💡 Takeaway Tip: The best way to stay healthy is to know your body and have a trusted medical team ready to act when something feels off.

Appendicitis affects 1 in 15 women, but many experience delays in diagnosis because symptoms often overlap with ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and IBS. A delay of just 12–24 hours can lead to complications like infection and longer hospital stays.

Know the signs:
- Belly pain that moves to the lower right side
- Low appetite, nausea, or vomiting
- Pain when jumping or hitting a bump in the road
- Low-grade fever

Early diagnosis saves lives—whether it’s appendicitis, cancer, or another serious condition. 💙 Hear more about Dr. Bitner's story and watch her conversation with Janice here: https://bit.ly/3VbaChu

Most women don’t realize there are actually three phases: Reproductive, Perimenopause, and Menopause. Understanding which phase you are in helps healthcare providers determine your risk of preventable illnesses such as diabetes or heart disease, as well as how to approach treatment plans and preventative care options. Knowledge is power - so know your Phase of Ovarian Function!

August is National Wellness Month — and this week, Dr. Diana Bitner joined Janice Allen FOX 17 to discuss a topic many women overlook: the barriers that hinder their health.

Too often, we see these barriers as “excuses” and feel ashamed, but the truth is they are real challenges — whether it’s time, energy, access to healthy food, or community support. Recognizing and naming these barriers is the first step toward overcoming them! Small, practical solutions can make wellness achievable for everyone! Redesigning the Pelvic Exam with Special Guest, Dr. Tracy Bennett, CMO of Ceek Women’s Health.

Let’s be honest—most of us have dreaded pelvic exams not because of the provider, but because of the tools!

For our August live stream, Dr. Diana Bitner is joined by Dr. Tracy Bennett, Chief Medical Officer of Ceek Women’s Health—the company behind the Nella Speculum, named a TIME Magazine Invention of the Year. With more than 20 years of experience in women’s health medical devices, Dr. Bennett is here to talk about how her work is transforming the experience of pelvic exams, making them more comfortable, respectful, and accessible for all women, including patients at true.

In this episode, we’ll explore:
- Why the traditional speculum needed a redesign
- How Nella Comfort Kits are tailored to different life stages and bodies
- What providers can do to create a more respectful, trauma-informed experience
- How true. Women’s Health is bringing this innovation into our practice and exam room!

If you’ve ever dreaded a pelvic exam or wished it felt more personal and less clinical, this episode is for you. Set your reminder for Wednesday, August 13, at 7 PM ET and join us live!

Bring your questions—this is a conversation for every woman who wants to feel seen, heard, and respected in her care.
