At Yarrow Joy Wellness, we believe in the healing power of nature and being in right relationship with the natural world. Excited to facilitate this space of learning, connecting, and community this Saturday in partnership with those in attendance and by invitation of Our Mental Health Collective!

🌱 Come home to the land. Come home to yourself.

We’re gathering on Saturday, March 28th for a restorative afternoon designed with and for BIPOC mental health and wellness providers.

This time is for YOU.

Led by the brilliant Stacy Stout, CEO of Blandford Nature Center and founder of Yarrow Joy Wellness, this 2-hour experience invites you to slow down, step outside, and reconnect with the natural world through ancestral frameworks and herbal practice.

You’ll leave with:
✨ Practical nature-based tools to weave into your work with clients
✨ A deeper sense of your own grounding and wellbeing
✨ Community with fellow BIPOC providers who get it
✨ Renewed inspiration for culturally rooted healing

This is an affirming, brave space created exclusively for Black, Indigenous, Asian, African, Latine, and other communities of color providers. You’ll affirm your identity during registration.

An early start this morning with the board of trustees and team from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation — opening their weeklong learning journey, acknowledging the land, original people, and exploited/stolen labor that have shaped the communities we experience today. This is a reflective and accountability practice to ground us in place and truth. And we all know that acknowledgment, without intentional and meaningful action to right wrongs, is insufficient.
💚 I entered the space rooted in love and hope. Love for our good-hearted ancestors, whom I asked to be present in support of the learning ahead. And love for the brilliance of the community they will encounter and learn from this week.
✨ And hope—hope for what may emerge through reflection, connection, and shared experience.
I closed with a reminder that alongside equitable/liberated systems, communities also need joy, celebration, and restoration to thrive.
🪴 Beautiful energy to begin the week. Grateful to have been a part of it.

🌱💚 Honored to partner with Our Mental Health Collective to co-create a learning and healing space for BIPOC wellness practitioners on March 28.

So much intention is guiding this gathering — rooted in community care, traditional ways of knowing, and ancestral wisdom.

Rooted in love and purpose. 💚

Sharing this morning’s journaling prompt in the hopes it may support your healing journey and perhaps help with an upcoming decision. So often we feel the pressure of colonized expectations of success and ways of being… This morning I meditated by the water to listen to my spirit.

🌿✨ Movement is medicine. ✨🌿

Today I joined our community for the Latino Health 5K, and it was such a powerful reminder of the many benefits of simply moving our bodies—especially outdoors and together.

💚 Walking or running, even just 20–30 minutes a day, can:
• Boost mood and reduce stress 🧘🏽‍♀️
• Support heart health ❤️
• Balance energy and hormones ⚖️
• Improve sleep quality 🌙
• Strengthen community connection 🤝

When we move in community, the benefits multiply—we gain encouragement, accountability, and joy from being surrounded by others who are also investing in their health and wellness.

Whether your pace is a walk, jog, or run, the important thing is to begin. Start where you are, listen to your body, and find joy in the process. 🌸

✨ Here’s your invitation: grab a friend, lace up, step outside, and notice how much better you feel after. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.

💚🏃🏾‍♀️💪🏾 Wrapped up a long day with a late-night workout—training mode activated for the Aug 23 West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Latino Health 5K! About 8 weeks out and my personal goal: cut my time by 3 minutes.

Why do I run? I run in gratitude for my body—for all that she carries, heals, and does for me daily. When I move from a place of love and appreciation, everything feels more joyful and intentional.

✨ Join me at the starting line! Whether your goal is to win, finish strong, walk or run, have fun, or simply enjoy the power of community + movement—you’ll be glad you showed up.
