October 9 is PANS/PANDAS Awareness Day 🧠

At BRAINS, we’re proud to stand with families affected by Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS). These rare but serious conditions can lead to sudden, life-altering changes in a child’s behavior, mood, and functioning, often following a strep or viral infection.

Early recognition and intervention are critical. Our neuropsychology and assessment team specializes in identifying complex neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions. If you’re seeing signs like sudden OCD behaviors, anxiety, food restrictions, or regression in skills, we’re here to help.
