🌱 From Acorn to Oak: A New Chapter for BRAINS

For nearly two decades, BRAINS has been rooted in a mission to help children and families thrive. As we prepare to merge with Pine Rest on October 27, we’re reflecting on our journey — and the future we’re growing together.

In a heartfelt letter from co-founder Dr. Rochelle Manor, she shares what this next chapter means for our clients, our community, and the mission we hold dear.

Read the full letter to learn how BRAINS, A Service of Pine Rest, will continue nurturing potential — one child, one family at a time.

October 9 is PANS/PANDAS Awareness Day 🧠

At BRAINS, we’re proud to stand with families affected by Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS). These rare but serious conditions can lead to sudden, life-altering changes in a child’s behavior, mood, and functioning, often following a strep or viral infection.

Early recognition and intervention are critical. Our neuropsychology and assessment team specializes in identifying complex neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions. If you’re seeing signs like sudden OCD behaviors, anxiety, food restrictions, or regression in skills, we’re here to help.
