Our Story

This page is for the therapy practice for Laurie Schmit, LMSW, Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Caring guidance and support can make all the difference in the world. I provide a judgement-free experience for clients ages 18-65. My counseling style is affirming, active, and collaborative; ideal for adults who've experienced anxiety, adversity, unexpected changes, trauma/abuse, feel stuck, and want support moving forward into living authentically. My personal growth journey began in 1989. I've experienced deep healing, and have become driven to help others increase vitality and self-worth & improve their lives. I love my work! I'm told that I am a good listener and very approachable.

Clear what's holding you back...because you deserve freedom from emotional pain. Clients may experience counseling along with active, body-integrated healing. Neuroscience points to the effectiveness of such methods for healing trauma. These techniques combined have potential for incredible insight, emotional release, and lasting deep healing.
