The impact of surgery at a CURE hospital doesn't end once a patient leaves the operating room or even is discharged from the hospital. Time and time again we hear stories of how this one act has uplifted siblings, strengthened families, and inspired communities. Surgery isn't just surgery. It's an injection of God-focused inspiration into everyone this patietn comes into contact with!
We LOVE that we GET to partner with you to do this work!

Safaatou showed up at CURE Niger after years of suffering from brittle bone disease. She had had so many micro-breaks in her legs that they had slowly deformed and bent - forcing her to use a crutch when she walked. It wasn't an easy way to get around, but it was her only option.

Now, brittle bone disease isn't a curable disease, but the effects can be mitigated. The CURE Niger doctors were able to straighten Safaatou's legs and reinforce her bones with metal rods, strengthening them and reducing the number of breaks she has to endure.

Today, Safaatou can stand upright and walk and go about her life unassisted and with SO MUCH more confidence and joy!

We sincerely believe that each patient not only deserves high-quality medical care but also deserves a kind and gentle experience with every staff member they meet.

Health equity begins when basic surgical services for children are available in places too often forgotten. By offering sponsored pediatric surgery in the nations where we work as well as investing in the national health infrastructures, we're getting closer and closer to a God-honoring world where where you are born doesn't determine your ability to receive life-transforming surgery!

"I didn't take my daughter outside for fear of what people would say. Some assumed my daughter was born this way because of a great sin I committed," remembers Genzeb, Mekdes' mom.

But now, after receiving corrective surgery at CURE Ethiopia, Mekdes' cleft lip has been repaired, and Genzeb has received counselling, letting her know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that her daughter's cleft lip is not punishment for some previous sin. Guilt has no place in healing. And it's our dream to not only see bodies restored, but also to see families pointed to God - completely free of misplaced guilt and shame!
