A birth showed up in my fb memories today. . .
I remember that birth vividly! It was the first 24+ hour birth i attended. It was just her. She didn't have family, a partner or anyone else who came. She was so strong and courageous and labored well. I didn't advocate for her, but encouraged her to advocate for herself, and she had to, a lot. She was educated about her options and she had a plan. It changed, but she felt like she was apart of the decision making. I walked away feeling grateful to be able to witness such strength!
