After reviewing the latest evidence, both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) affirm that acetaminophen is safe and effective when used as directed.

Both organizations recommend using the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary — and always talking with your Columbus OB/GYN provider if you have questions.
